Confusion is skateboarding’s premiere international magazine on DIY skateparks, published and distributed worldwide.
For this layout, I captured the park’s visual essence through doodle-style sketches underneath a clean typeface, drawing a parallel with the finished obstacle’s graffiti on the facing page. The following pages deconstruct this finished piece through images of the building process.

Skate Jawn is a celebrated east-coast magazine with over 10 years of national publication.
The serif cover font evokes a feeling of tradition and permanence to echo the article title, with a slight drop shadow added to mimic the photograph’s lighting.
